Ignition Cloud is a full Inductive Automation Ignition gateway hosted centrally in your EmberNet cloud, the aggregation point for SCADA, HMI, historian, and alarming across every site you operate.

What it does​

  • Runs a complete Ignition gateway: Vision and Perspective HMI, the tag engine, the historian, alarming, and reporting.
  • Aggregates data from Ignition Edge gateways at your sites into one central system of record.
  • Serves dashboards and control screens to operators from a single cloud gateway, reachable from anywhere through EmberNet.

When to use it​

Choose Ignition Cloud when you want a central Ignition gateway: one single pane for multi-site operations, enterprise historian, and corporate dashboards, rather than a gateway pinned to one plant.

Running on EmberNet​

Ignition Cloud runs in your EmberNet cloud cluster and opens directly inside the dashboard. It pairs naturally with Ignition Edge gateways at each site, which collect locally and forward to the cloud gateway over the zero-trust mesh, so site data reaches the center without exposing either end to the public internet.

Ignition licensing is handled as part of your EmberNet subscription; talk to your account team about tag counts and module entitlements.
